Assessment
Assessments usually last for an hour and will give you the opportunity to talk about your current difficulties, how it is impacting you now and a chance to discuss your goals of therapy. It provides an opportunity for you to ask about treatment options and we can explore a personalised treatment plan for you.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
EMDR is a powerful therapy designed to help people recover from traumatic events in their lives. EMDR is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). EMDR has been found to be helpful for the following difficulties:
Panic
PTSD
Grief and complicated grief
Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Depression
Low self esteem
Difficulties related to past abuse or bullying

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

CBT
CBT is helpful for many difficulties and works well alongside EMDR treatment. CBT Therapy looks at the link between the way we perceive ourselves, the world and other people and how this may impact how we feel and how we behave in response to this, identifying unhelpful cycles. The aim of this treatment is to see how unhelpful cycles can be broken to bring about positive change, therefore improving how you feel.
